Annotated bibliographies

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources (such as books, articles, and documents) accompanied by brief descriptions, or annotations, that summarize and evaluate each source's content, relevance, and quality. Typically, each annotation consists of a concise paragraph, usually around 100-200 words, that summarizes the source's main arguments, methodologies, and findings. Additionally, it may assess the source's credibility, objectivity, and usefulness for the researcher's purposes. An annotated bibliography serves several purposes: it helps researchers evaluate the relevance and quality of sources before diving into them, it provides a summary of key points for quick reference, and it can contribute to the organization and synthesis of research material.
